The food was fresh, flavorful, and catered to a variety of tastes. The hotel's location is perfect for exploring Gangtok while still providing a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Ginger chain is now under Taj and you get a good deal by booking on the Indian Hotels website. Rooms are large and comfortable with all necessities. We got a room with Valley view and it was awesome with great views through the day. Property is located in serene and picturesque setting about 30 mins from Gangtok city center, easily accessible through local taxis. Restaurant experience left much to be desired - breakfast spread is adequate however inconsistent in quality, few dishes were disappointing and others were good. Reception staff and general administration is not upto the mark and you don’t see manager taking rounds or supervising the staff. At the check in time the whole holiday and welcoming vibe was missing. Through our stay none of the staff would greet at any point of time unless we greet them and same goes for the security staff. Looks like none of the staff members have been made conversant of the basic etiquettes, customer experience or trained on conversational skills. On the positive, few housekeeping and the restaurant servers were a delight and provided excellent service. Property has high potential provided Taj and local management invest in skill building for staff members.

Best Hotel to saty in Gangtok, It is really aesthetic lookwise....it is clean, the workstaff is really sweet and hospitable, the rooms man are really clean give a luxury vibe and spacious, wifi works really well, have big I guess 40 to 50 inch LG Android TV....a really nice and cool and calming view from the balcony of the whole gangtok city. The bathroom is clean hot tap water at night and morning when needed...The food was a bit heavy I for me but everyone has a different taste so it's upon individual taste but the usual paneer dishes and chicken curry, thank you
