Stayed at Vijayashree Resort during our Hampi trip with family. The property is beautiful, spacious, and well-maintained. The rooms were comfortable, the greenery is impressive, and the overall atmosphere is relaxing after a long day of sightseeing. The breakfast spread was good, and the resort has many facilities that make it appealing for both families and children. However, our experience was affected by one of the buggy drivers. We felt that he was unnecessarily judgmental and his attitude towards guests was not welcoming. Hospitality staff should make visitors feel comfortable and respected regardless of their appearance, background, or requests. A resort of this standard should ensure that every guest interaction reflects professionalism and courtesy. Apart from this unpleasant interaction, the rest of the staff and the property itself were good. With better training and guest handling by a few employees, the overall experience could be much better.

We had a wonderful experience at Vijayshree Resort,Hampi. From the moment we entered, the huge, lush green property felt like an oasis. The resort is spread across 20 acres with thousands of trees, making it the perfect place to unwind in nature. *​The Stay* : Our rooms were spotless and very well-maintained, offering a great blend of traditional heritage vibes and modern comfort. A major highlight was the swimming pool—it’s large, clean, and beautifully situated, making it a perfect spot to relax after a long day of sightseeing. ​ *The Service & Food* : The staff are incredibly polite and cordial. Their hospitality really stands out,they go out of their way to ensure you are comfortable. The restaurant serves delicious, fresh vegetarian food with excellent service. ​ *Location* : The location is a big plus. It is conveniently close to most of the major tourist spots in Hampi, saving us a lot of travel time while still providing a peaceful retreat away from the main crowds.

It’s a beautiful compound, and well kept. We came in the middle of the week in February, and the place was empty, including the pool area. Although the resort might look fancier than it really is, the service minded staff make up for any possible flaw. Jitendra in the dining restaurant, for instance, makes sure you’re being pampered with local treats and is generous suggesting meals for those not too familiar with the Indian cuisine. Our room was basic, but pleasant. The things that didn’t work at our arrival were swiftly fixed (the safe, the lack of toilet paper), and always with a smile.

Review of Vijayshree Resort & Heritage Village We recently stayed at Vijayshree Resort in Hampi. Despite the mixed reviews, we were happy to give the property the benefit of the doubt and see for ourselves. Unfortunately, it became clear that some of the issues mentioned in previous reviews have not yet been addressed. Positives The resort grounds are beautiful and well maintained, creating a lovely setting. Our Garden Villa room was good, spacious, and well equipped. Overall cleanliness inside the room was generally good. Cleanliness While the room itself was clean, there was a significant amount of bird droppings at our doorstep upon check-in. We requested twice for this to be cleaned, but it was not attended to during our stay. Service The main area for improvement is service. Staff were polite and smiled, but there was a noticeable lack of attentiveness, speed, and follow-through. Breakfast: Breakfast was advertised to start at 7:30am, but on both days not all food was available until around 8:00am. Evening Restaurant: We were shown to a table and then waited approximately 10 minutes without any acknowledgment. When we asked for the à la carte menu, we were told only the buffet was available and that à la carte was for room service only. After speaking to the manager about the wait and the limited option—especially as the buffet had limited variety and was not fully set up even 30 minutes into service—we were eventually given the à la carte menu. Following this conversation, other guests were also offered the menu. Check-out: We attempted to call for a buggy to collect our luggage, but the phone in the room did not work. We informed an employee outside our room, who told us to wait and that the buggy would come, but no call was made. After waiting, we ended up walking approximately 300 meters to reception with four suitcases. At check-out, we were not asked about our stay, nor were we thanked or bid farewell. This was the weakest service experience of our trip so far. In contrast, the hospitality we received in Bengaluru, Hassan, and Mysuru was consistently warm, attentive, and genuine. Vijayshree Resort has the infrastructure and setting to offer an outstanding guest experience. We hope management takes this feedback as an opportunity to reflect on processes, service standards, and staff training to ensure future guests enjoy the full potential of what the resort can offer.
