I initially checked into Nilam Guest House for just a single night’s transit before my course at the Dhamma Bodhi Vipassana Centre. However, the incredible warmth, kindness, and support from Sumit ji and his family completely changed my plans—I couldn't help but return to stay for two more nights after my retreat. The guest house has a wonderful, homely vibe. The hosts went above and beyond, helping with basic needs and offering thoughtful advice on staying safe and navigating the area. Location-wise, it’s perfect. Major destinations like the Mahabodhi Temple are well within walking distance, and the bypass highway is close by, making it incredibly easy to catch an e-rickshaw or other transport. Coming out of Vipassana, I deeply needed a calm, quiet, and non-intrusive space to process the experience. Nilam Guest House provided exactly that. I had a wonderful stay and look forward to visiting them again!

I had a wonderful stay at Nilam Guest House in Bodhgaya. The place is clean, comfortable, and located conveniently for visiting nearby attractions. A special mention to the owner, Sumit Singh, who is an extremely caring and helpful person. He made sure everything was taken care of and guided me properly during my stay. His hospitality really made a difference and made me feel at home. Overall, a great experience. I would definitely recommend this guest house to anyone visiting Bodhgaya.

During my visit to Bodhgaya, I stayed here with my friend, and it turned out to be a great choice on a budget. The place was very clean, well-maintained, and had a warm, homely atmosphere. There are many places nearby within walking distance, which made everything very convenient. The owner of the homestay was also very kind and helpful. Overall, it was a really nice experience, and I would definitely recommend it.

What an amazing oasis in the desert. Nilam guesthouse was a safe haven in the chaos of Bodhgaya. Sumit was so helpful in informing me of the do's and don'ts of the area. His family was so welcoming. A hot shower...calm atmosphere and a full night's rest is what you can expect when you come stay here- and all for someone within a tight budget. They also helped me arrange airport transport. Super grateful. I totally recommend this place.
