We planned a long weekend trip to Amritsar and stayed two nights at SB Residency Amritsar. It had been a decent experience. Though the hotel's location is excellent in the aspect of being at a short distance from the Golden Temple and Jallianwala Bagh, one need to be aware that it is literally not accessible by any means other than by an e-rickshaw or by foot as it is located in the middle of a busy market and situated in a very narrow lane. It literally means there is no parking space for your vehicle, if u r driving down to Amritsar, like we did. So one needs to find a decent parking spot, the efforts for which is unimaginably huge task as the lanes are narrow and if u place u vehicle there, there is always n chance of some scooter or rickshaw scratching or denting it. There are paid parking facilities near Harmandir Hasib temple and Jallianwala Bagh which we availed extensively during our 3 days. Once u sort out this vehicle parking issue and to reach the place, u realise there is no lift/elevator facility available in the building and if u have elderly ppl with you, and if ur rooms are on the 3rd floor, it is a real issue at hand. Other than these 2 major hiccups, the rooms were comfortable, and stay was pleasant. The services rendered were decent. Our rooms were clean and well maintained. Public areas and corridors were clean n well kept. The staff were friendly and professional from check-in to check-out; reception offered helpful directions. Guests with mobility needs should avoid this place for the above cited reasons.Overall, SB Residency offers good value for short stays in Amritsar, combining a convenient location, reliable cleanliness, courteous staff-suitable for families, couples, and solo travelers alike.

Location is superb for Harmindar Sahib and is in heart of 400 year old market - excellent staff who go above and beyond - rooms clean & basic with en-suite. Am very happy to recommend and will stay again.
I had an excellent stay. I would definitely recommend it to my friends and family. The location is very convenient, as it is close to the Golden Temple, which made our visit very easy and comfortable. The staff was extremely polite, helpful, and responsive throughout our stay. One thing I truly appreciated was their service. They arranged food for us even at 12 midnight, and the food was good. Whenever we called, they promptly provided tea, coffee, and water. They also arranged a cab for us from the hotel to the Wagah Border, which made our travel smooth and stress-free. The rooms were clean, well-maintained, and comfortable, which made our stay even more pleasant. A small suggestion to future visitors: please don’t rely on local rickshaw drivers’ opinions about the hotel location, as some of them may misguide you due to commission arrangements with other hotels. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I would happily stay here again.
