My experience here was very pleasant. The location is at a walkable distance to the golden temple. Staff were very caring as I was alone and made sure my sightseeing tours were met with safety. I had booked a smaller room, yet they gave me a large comfortable room. The room service was on point too. Do not expect 5 star level decor, it’s good value for the price.

I travel to Amritsar every year and this is my second time staying at Raj Darbar Hotel. This year, I had some issues with my first (family) room on my first night. As I arrived quite late at night, there was nothing much that can be done plus we were already tired after a long flight. The next morning, a new room was organised and cleaned. My family and I stayed in the new room for the next 12 days. Our trip to Amritsar is always for prayers/yatra purposes and the location of this hotel is convenient as it is very close to the Langar hall entrance (less than 5 mins walk). I encountered some water issues at 1 am and quickly addressed it to the staff available at night. It was resolved within 15 mins. The staffs are really friendly and helpful. FYI, this is not a 5 star hotel. There isn't any lift too here but we are happy to use the stairs. This hotel fits the purpose for us to rest and commute conveniently to Darbaar Sahib multiple times a day (even during amrit vella).

Clean and spacious rooms at best prices. Great location. Food of their restaurant is delicious. Staff is polite and helpful.

Our stay at this hotel in Amritsar was extremely disappointing. We had come for a spiritual trip, expecting a peaceful and comfortable experience, but unfortunately it turned out to be the opposite. Money was stolen during our stay, and we had to call the police to help resolve the situation. What was even more upsetting was the owner, Pawan’s attitude — instead of showing concern or trying to help, he was dismissive and unapologetic. The facilities were also very poor. The bathroom had no proper lock or bolt, the cupboard had no handle or lock, and overall the room lacked basic amenities that any hotel should provide. The staff behaviour was also quite unprofessional. Overall, it was a very unpleasant experience and not what we expected at all during a visit to a place like Amritsar. I would strongly suggest future guests to be cautious before booking here.
