Room was good, but the general area were not maintained as we had visited during off season. Temples are quite far from this place, if you have your own transportation, then it’s will be feasible for you to stay.
We stayed at Banana Tree Home Stay for 3 days. The experience was average compared to the price charged. The room facilities were very basic—there was no cupboard, no table, nothing except one bed and an attached toilet and bathroom. Because of this, we had to keep all our luggage either on the bed or on the floor, which was inconvenient. The hut is made from bamboo and coconut tree leaves, so you can clearly hear voices from the adjoining huts. Also, there is no water heater in the bathroom—you need to request hot water separately whenever required. On the positive side, the food quality was good and the ambiance of the place is really nice and peaceful. The location is around 20 km from the main Hampi sightseeing spots. The nearest attraction is Anjanadri Hill, which is convenient to visit from here. Overall rating: 3 out of 5.
We went for lunch at this restaurant, had very bad experience. We ordered paneer tikka it was too tangy and garlic naan , u can have look for it, it’s completely unroasted and unified garlic. Waste of money and food
Banana Tree House, Sanapur – Hampi We had booked a 4-day, 3-night stay here, and it turned out to be a wonderful experience. The resort offers simple, no-frills rooms that are very pleasant to stay in and reasonably priced. It is located a little inside from the main road, which actually adds to its charm and peaceful vibe. Their in-house restaurant is an awesome place! Even though the menu is purely vegetarian, the food is absolutely to die for. We are non-vegetarians, yet we totally relished every dish. All the starters were delicious, and the Dal Khichdi became our everyday comfort order. The pizza deserves a special mention — absolutely no words! Even Domino’s and Pizza Hut don’t come close. Truly yumm! Last but not least, the kind, helpful, and friendly staff made our stay even more pleasant. Highly recommended! We were a group of 7 ladies and 6 kids visiting from Goa, and all of us had a great time.
Definitely a place to consider when you are looking for the original feel of NorthSide. No fancy gimmicks. Just the plain good old Bamboo hut with an awesome view into the mountain. Pure nature and quiet! Very friendly personnel. Chinna the Manager can help you with all your needs (Motorbike, Coracle rides, getting cash aso). The bad comments are mostly from indian families who just stay overnight and expect a 5star service at a budget place. Dont trust those comments. However as food is concerned maybe the menu is a bit too vast. Concentrate on fewer but more quality dishes as a suggestion. Again - for the usual backpacker it is highly recommendable. Very cool guys - in just 4 days I feel I have made some new friends in Sanapur.
