We stayed here for one week, and our experience was extremely disappointing. To begin with, online booking platforms showed a room rate of ₹1,500 per night, but when we arrived, we were charged ₹2,200 per night for a room that did not justify the price. The room was not cleaned properly throughout our stay. There were no regular bed sheet changes, no sweeping, and the overall maintenance was poor. Several items were broken, including the windows, which were damaged and left unrepaired. Basic upkeep seemed to be completely neglected. The room had two air conditioners, but only one was working. When we raised the issue, we were told, “Itna paise mein ek hi AC kaam karega,” which was completely unprofessional. The TV and Wi-Fi were available, but neither worked properly during our stay. One of the biggest inconveniences was the lack of proper water supply. We frequently had to manage basic necessities ourselves, which is unacceptable for a hotel charging these rates. The staff’s behavior was rude, unhelpful, and impatient. To make matters worse, the power supply was cut from 7:00 AM until 12:00 PM without any satisfactory explanation. Overall, this was one of the worst hotel experiences we have had. We would not recommend Hotel Atlanta to anyone looking for accommodation in Paharganj, New Delhi. For the price charged, the service, maintenance, and facilities were far below expectations. Very disappointing stay.
If honesty and transparency matter to you when booking a hotel, be very careful before choosing this property. The room photographs and descriptions created certain expectations regarding facilities and comfort. However, upon arrival, the situation was entirely different. This led to confusion, frustration, and unnecessary stress after a long journey. What disappointed us most was not the issue itself but the way it was handled. Good hotels understand that problems happen and work hard to resolve them. Here, there seemed to be very little interest in finding a solution that would satisfy the guest. The overall experience fell far below what the ratings suggested.
Our experience was extremely disappointing and stressful. What concerned us most was the gap between the online presentation and the reality on the ground. The property's high ratings gave us confidence while booking, but the actual guest experience fell far below expectations. The lack of clarity regarding room categories, the non-functional AC issue, the unwillingness to accommodate guests, and the uncomfortable waiting conditions combined to create a very negative impression. Families traveling with children should be especially careful and confirm every room detail directly with the hotel before making a reservation. Based on our experience, we would not choose to stay here again and cannot recommend it to other travelers. These versions are strong, detailed, and focused on the actual experience you described, which generally makes reviews more credible and impactful.
So we basically became a victim of fake Google ratings here. This was more of a horror hotel, then a normal hotel. No lights in reception, no one to greet, only one single fan was working in this peak summer season. We came all the way from Kolkata and got this hotel booked from MakeMyTrip. We choose the smallest room as we have to travel again at night to Amritsar. The photos shown has AC in it, but the moment we reached the hotel they said you have selected Non-AC Room which blew our mind as nothing was mentioned in the details. Moreover the receptionist was too adamant when we asked to upgrade our room. He was reluctant to upgrade because the room we chose had AC but it was out of order. We, all four adults and 3 kids were waiting at the lobby for an hour requesting to give us AC room but everything was in vain... The receptionist said we have 27 rooms and all are full ........ THEN "Why the hell are you showing available in all the booking platforms" They are cheat... Please avoid them, there are better hotels nearby. Please don't waste your hard earned money in this fraudulent property. Their star rating i.e. (4.5) is totally misleading and deceptive.
I stayed at this hotel for around three weeks. The older staff members were excellent—professional, respectful, and always willing to help. There was one gentleman in particular (I don’t remember his name, but he mentioned having a young daughter and son) who stood out. He was extremely dedicated to his work, approachable, and consistently polite. Nothing was ever too much trouble for him, and he never once asked for tips. Unfortunately, my experience with some of the younger staff was very different. One staff member who came to clean my room spent barely a minute sweeping the floor and then seemed dissatisfied with the 100 rupees I gave him, asking for more. Another staff member, named Aman, initially seemed kind and friendly. However, his behavior quickly became inappropriate. He began making uncomfortable comments about finding a girlfriend and said that age didn’t matter. What concerned me most was when he suggested taking my two-year-old daughter for a walk at 11pm. This was completely unacceptable, and I chose to leave the hotel the following morning to avoid any further interaction. While some members of staff were truly outstanding, these incidents made my stay feel uncomfortable and ultimately unsafe. Hotel needs full deep cleaning. The person responsible for cleaning should be replaced straight away. It's hard to believe the state of the rooms and bathrooms. The rooms are dirty, mouldy ceiling in every bathroom, most windows don't close. Some pillows are absolutely disgusting... Positives: Very friendly owner Some staff were amazing Some rooms were great but no WiFi or window access others you couldn't close window
