Had a pleasant stay overall. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The staff was very supportive and always ready to help, which made us feel safe throughout our stay. The only downside was the breakfast; there weren't many options available. We were informed that a buffet is served only when there are more than 15 guests. Other than that, it was a good experience.
Our stay at Hotel Lake Avenue, Srinagar was very disappointing. After checking into the hotel, we went out for sightseeing and returned late at night. That's why we couldn't inspect the room properly earlier. When we came back around 11 PM–12 AM, we discovered that there was no hot water, and even the tap was faulty—it was so loose that it was coming apart while being used. The staff came late at night and temporarily fixed it, but as guests, we should never have been allotted a room with such basic maintenance issues. The room heating was also inadequate, making the stay uncomfortable in Srinagar's cold weather. The room service was poor, and the overall hospitality was below expectations. The food quality was also very disappointing and did not meet basic standards. Overall, the hotel needs major improvements in room maintenance, service, and food quality. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this hotel.
Stayed at Hotel Lake Avenue during my Kashmir trip. While the location and lake view were nice, the overall experience was disappointing. The service was below expectations, and the staff did not seem interested in attending to guests or fulfilling requests promptly. Hospitality and guest care need significant improvement. The property has potential because of its location, but better service and attention to customers would greatly improve the guest experience. This sounds professional and honest without being overly harsh.
Had an excellent stay at Lake Avenue with my parents. The front rooms have a great view of the Dal lake. Service is prompt. Managers Hashim and Dilawar were very helpful. Great location, highly recommended. The attached restaurant is very nice too.
Lake avenue management is worst, absolutely bogus. We had one night stay at Marina,gulmarg, they provided flawless services but this lake avenue staffs are mannerless and ill behaved especially the so called 12-14 years experienced 'manager' Mir Dilawar. Rooms were uncleaned, unhygienic, bed pillow blanket cover were used and dirty. Geysers, ACs were not working properly. Bathrooms fitting were broken and bathrooms smelled stinky. This hotel just spoiled our vacation. We spent more than 1 lakh for 5 nights stay. We just wasted our hard earned money. Will never recommend it to anyone. Just avoid this hotel if anyone doesn't want to waste their hard earned money.
