the rooms were quite nice and bed was big. the location also good for being in the nature. However, the hospitality was very bad… first time i’m ever saying that in india. we were shouted at by the owner and then guilt tripped for not eating in the restaurant. one day we return home and there’s a meeting of 40 men in the restaurant and when we ask what it is about we are dismissed and told there’s no problem. any question we asked seem to cause an issue. very strange. the isreali’s seem to like it though.
We stayed at Wild Stone Hampi – Sanapur for 2 nights and 3 days, and it was a wonderful experience. The room was clean and neat, and the washroom was well maintained with both hot and cold water available. They have their own café, which is very cozy — with comfy beds, cushions, a low stone table, and other side table with chairs that make the space really relaxing. The food was delicious; we had all three meals there during our stay. A special mention to the Chicken Fingers — absolutely must-try! The property is located in a quiet and peaceful area, perfect for relaxation. They also provide Activa bikes for rent, and all the major visiting spots are nearby, making travel easy. A big thank you to the owner, Mr. Varun, who ensured our stay was comfortable and even packed lunch and dinner for our train journey on request — such a thoughtful gesture. Chinna, who manages the café, is a sweet, warm, and welcoming person. Overall, a lovely stay with great hospitality. Highly recommended for couples visiting Hampi! 😊
What a nice stay in wild stone. Every thing just what we expected. Food is delicious. Cafe is new & charming, you can chill here with friends & family. Service is also nice. Room size & cleaning good. Most important is location near real wild stone. Nice landscape & specious resort
I stayed here for 3 nights. I recommend this place for all kinds of travellers. Solo, Family, couple all are welcome. Wonderful staff, amazing tasty food, serene peaceful environment. Plus points - Car and Bike parking. And our beloved property pet dog Coco.!!
We stayed at Wildstone, North Hampi for 2 days with family, including our 10-month-old baby. Unfortunately, the experience was stressful and disappointing. 🔹 Basic Hot Water Issue (For Baby Food) We requested one glass of hot water in the evening for our baby’s food. When we asked again after some time, the owner responded rudely, saying hot water cannot be given multiple times and demanded ₹20–25 per glass. We clearly said we were ready to pay, but his attitude was unprofessional and insensitive, especially when traveling with an infant. 🔹 Serious Hygiene & Safety Concern We stayed in the Bamboo Room, where rats were running on the roof all night. On the last night, a rat actually fell onto our bed. This is completely unacceptable, especially for families with children. 🔹 Bathroom Hot Water Drama We were told hot water is solar-based, but it wasn’t working. Guests were asked to wait repeatedly. Other guests also started arguing due to the same issue. The owner said he couldn’t do anything and blamed technical problems. Eventually, hot water was supplied via gas—but only after arguments. Basic facilities should not require disputes. 🔹 Campfire & Safety Concern We requested a campfire from day one. On the second day, some wooden logs were just placed without proper arrangement. A group of men were drinking nearby, which made us feel unsafe, especially as a family. 🔹 What Was Good ✔ Food quality was decent. 🔹 Overall Experience The management seems more focused on charging money than on guest comfort, hygiene, or safety. Customer concerns were not handled responsibly. It’s surprising to see many positive Google reviews, as our experience was the opposite. ⚠ Final Advice If this is your only option in North Hampi, you may manage. Otherwise, please avoid this place and don’t blindly trust Google reviews.
