One of the best property in darjeeling space with ample parking space. Food is great and service is also good. Food prices are on higher side. Restaurant area could be more neat and hygienic. Overall hotel good to stay with family.

I stayed at Sterling Darjeeling for two nights and, unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. Even before my arrival, the problems started. I had called the reservation team and very clearly requested a room with the best possible view and specifically asked that it should not be on the ground floor. I repeated this requirement several times and was assured that the room allotted to me would not be on the ground floor. However, upon check-in, I was surprised to find that the room provided was exactly that, a ground-floor room. This reflected either a complete lack of product knowledge or poor communication by the reservations team. The room itself was far from acceptable. There was a strong seepage smell throughout the room, making it uncomfortable to stay in. Ventilation was extremely poor, with no air-conditioning and no ceiling fan. The only provision was an exhaust fan in the bedroom, which appeared to be there to deal with the persistent dampness and odor. For a hotel charging around ₹11,000 per night, such conditions are simply unacceptable. Cleanliness standards were equally disappointing. The washroom was unhygienic, the WC was not cleaned properly, and the towels did not appear fresh. The overall condition of the room gave the impression that basic housekeeping standards were not being maintained. Housekeeping service was perhaps the most frustrating aspect of the stay. Before leaving for sightseeing at around 10:30 AM, I informed the reception that the room could be cleaned during our absence. When we returned around 6:00 PM, housekeeping was still attending to the room. Even after the cleaning was supposedly completed, we found that the towels had not been changed and several items left on the floor from the previous night were still lying there. It was evident that the room had not been cleaned properly at all. The food and dining experience did little to improve matters. While buffet breakfast was included in our package, we were informed that even a simple plain paratha was not part of the breakfast offering and could only be ordered separately. To my surprise, two plain parathas were billed at more than ₹400, which felt unreasonable and excessive. There were several other incidents during the stay that further reinforced my disappointment, but the issues mentioned above are sufficient to explain why I felt compelled to write this review. In all my years of travel, I rarely write negative reviews. However, this property fell significantly short of the standards one expects from a reputed hospitality brand. The stay was neither comfortable nor value for money. I would not choose to stay at this property again, nor would I recommend it to my friends, family, or professional circle. Travelers planning a visit to Darjeeling would be well advised to explore other options before making a booking here.

This place is in the middle of nowhere. Although the gham station is at the walkable distance, you need to be expert in mountain climbing to reach here as the way in to the hotel is very steep. You dont get good food option outside and hence u need to eat at the hotel which is expensive and Bad. Although the weather is breezy and cold outside, your room will be hot and stuffy. You will even sweat at sometimes and will not get cold air from your AC coz it only runs in heater mode. I am from Chennai but still felt the room so sweaty and stuffy. If you raise this to anyone, No one will fix this and you need to learn to live with it for the rest of your stay. Please look for hotels near darjeeling station during season time as most of the places of attractions are near darjeeling station. This place is 8 kms from darjeeling but it took us 3 hrs to reach it due to tourist season. Overall I cursed myself as why I made my vacation bad.
