It was grand stay at Sandur in Shivavilas Palace for us. 20 acres of serenity with peacocks and multiple birds inside palace. Century old vintage cars, heritage museum inside palace makes it very welcoming. Well kept large rooms, cleanliness, polite staff, delicious food makes stay unforgettable experience. Don’t miss to visit Narihalla for sunset, 8 th century Parvathi temple, See in September view point, Gandinarasimha swamy temple, Gandi Basaveshwara Swamy Temple, Harishankara Temple are a must to visit during the stay. Overall Great property and stay. The palace and it's grou is are beautiful. Food at the restaurant was good, especially the kebabs and tandoor. They have indoor games and a library. Also couple of museum like displays.

Wow, what a lovely place! If you’re looking for a peaceful staycation away from the noise and want to truly feel like a royalty, this is the place to be! This palace-turned-hotel is absolutely stunning and very well maintained. We stayed at the Maharaja Suite, and it was fabulous, truly a memorable experience. A special mention to Ramesh, who took us around, especially the vintage car collection and gave us a tour of the Durbar Hall. The property is vast and beautiful, with lush green lawns where you can go cycling, take long walks, or simply relax and soak in the ambience. The service is excellent, the staff are warm, attentive, and make you feel very well taken care of. It is a 5-star luxury property, and on the pricier side, and it’s about an hour away from Hampi (If you are looking to tour Hampi from here then it is not the right place to be at). The only feedback would be on the breakfast spread, which could be a bit more extensive considering the price point. Overall, a wonderful place for a luxurious and peaceful getaway. Highly recommended!

The raw materials they use to prepare food are organic and not outsourced from anywhere. The food is consistently fresh and high in quality. You can order with complete confidence. Even if you are passing by this area, make sure to try their food. The location is very convenient and easy to reach. Google Maps is accurate. Service is truly top-notch. The staff are proactive, resourceful, and extremely helpful. They make an effort to ensure guest comfort, which makes a noticeable difference. The palace is beautifully maintained and offers a true royal experience. The car museum, billiards room, table tennis room, and library add immense charm and character. Choosing this property was absolutely worth it. Coming to the rooms, this may not suit everyone. The heritage and royalty are evident, but some elements like rugs, cushions, and certain furniture could benefit from an update. Also, having a driver/servant room would be highly appreciated. While the historical value is appreciated, a subtle modern refresh would enhance comfort without taking away from the palace’s legacy. Overall, a memorable stay with exceptional food, service, and ambience. Highly recommended place. Loved the entire experience.
