Echoing the review of the previous two customers we also had a bad experience last night at La Villa restaurant. Started well when we booked via email in the morning for a 7 course tasting menu at 8 pm. When we arrived we could see 5 other tables outside. We waited 20 minutes for our bottle of wine to arrive. 1 hr 20 mins later we had one chicken mince ball and an eye full of soup, had finished our wine and bottle of water, in dire need of more food. We asked when the next course was coming to be told the kitchen was busy and it was coming. We saw a table of 7 complain about waiting. We asked for two minutes to choose our next bottle of wine, expecting the next course to come, no one came back for the wine order. After 1 hr 45 mins and 3 courses we got fed up and wanted to go to bed. We got told to wait for the next course even though we insisted for the bill and wanted to leave. I couldn’t see why the kitchen was so busy for this number of people (maybe 15). Experience made worse by the poor communication

Simply amazing !! The food is plain phenomenal and the service is prompt. Its the perfect get away from the crowded venues of pondicherry if you are looking for peace, calm and comfort. I look forward to exploring more of their hospitality the next time I am here.

The food at the restaurant here is truly incredible!! The chef is uber talented for sure and the service staff very classy and warm. I had Mr.Senthil taking care of me during my meal. I was very surprised to see I was the only diner there given how amazing the food was. Yes the concept is unique and embraces European fine dining, but it’s definitely worth the visit! This place is a refreshing break from all the other restaurants that follow the cookie cutter format of multi page offerings of different permutations and combinations of pizzas and burgers and stuff. French gastronomy at its finest in Pondy can be found it. It would definitely take people of specific taste to truly appreciate the opportunity to enjoy such food I must say. Thank you for a most wonderful meal and I will be back for more !
