This is the equivalent of a 3 star hotel. Food is communal. There is no room service. Pests are constantly found within residences. The tents have temporary sewage and was unliveable for myself so had to upgrade to a bhunga, which was much better but still equivalent to a 3 star hotel. Some of the staff were very helpful, however some were rude. An example being shutting off the tv showing a cricket match during dinner to try and encourage people to leave the dining hall, despite several people watching. The worst part undoubtedly was Kutch itself. It’s has been incredibly overhyped, there is nothing going on there and it’s a terrible holiday destination devoid of civilisation. At max 2 days and 1 night is needed to see all of the extremely boring and underwhelming tourist attractions. A complete and utter rip off. Much better spending the money at another location at an actual decent resort with a recognised hotel brand.

Extremely disappointing stay – not worth the price Our experience at White Rann Resort, Dhordo was extremely disappointing and nowhere close to the premium pricing they charge (around ₹22,000 per night for a Bhunga). It genuinely felt like staying in an unmanaged Dharamshala rather than a professionally run resort. The Bhunga allotted to us was in poor condition, with a badly maintained room and an even worse bathroom, clearly lacking regular upkeep. The dining experience was chaotic and unpleasant. Food was often served cold, and the dining hall felt like a crowded mela with very poor hygiene standards. There was no visible system to manage the rush; the manager seemed unable to handle the crowd or ensure guests were seated properly. Instead of proactively refilling food counters, staff waited for guests to repeatedly request refills, and most of them appeared laid-back and very slow. Basic expectations from a resort at this price point were completely unmet. There were no proper room amenities, no TV, no hot water, no room service, and the bathroom was in an unacceptable state. It honestly felt like the staff were working on their own terms, with no accountability or oversight. For the kind of experience we had, the stay was not even worth ₹2,000 a night. A simple, standard hotel would probably have offered far better comfort, cleanliness, and service. This property completely ruined our visit to the White Rann, and I would not recommend this resort to anyone.

Bhunga stay was unique , something different. Location was prime near to shopping stations, sunrise and sunset trips to salt beach were most joyous parts. Food had a huge spead . Enjoyed gujrathi food for 2 days. Kids also could pick up the items theylike hence was specially thankful to the hotel management to include several items for all the 3 meals. Hi tea was special as Pani puri chaat and kachori kadhi were excellent. Thanks for keeping them on list for high tea. Cultural nights were cosy in the tent area. Unlimited cold water to drink. A photograph as a memory. Good guides to manage the short trips like Kala dungar made it all. Throughly enjoyed with family.
