Beautiful homestay in Shyo area of Tawang. At a walking distance from the famous Tawang Monastery. It's a steep uphill walk. Rooms are neat and well maintained. Host Ms.Lobsang is very helpful and hospitable.

I booked this hotel almost one month before my travel dates for a 2-night stay and also paid an advance amount to confirm the booking, and owner confirmed my booking as well after receiving advance amount. However, when I reached the hotel on 4th May around 5:30 PM with my family, the lady owner informed me that no rooms were available because she had given our booked room to someone else. This was an extremely horrific and irresponsible situation, especially considering that after 5 PM the weather in Tawang becomes very foggy and difficult for travel. I was travelling with my family and suddenly became clueless about where to stay. In a tourist place like Tawang, most good hotels are already pre-booked, so finding accommodation at the last minute was very difficult. During the conversation, the owners said, she will return the advance money, but she could not arrange room for us. It appeared that our confirmed booking was ignored either for higher-paying guests or to accommodate a larger group, without even informing us beforehand. Thankfully, my driver supported us, and after struggling for nearly 2 hours, we managed to find another hotel. This kind of behavior can put travellers and families in serious trouble. Please be very cautious before booking this hotel, even if you have paid an advance and received confirmation.

Rooms and staff behaviour was good. But not fully equiped to tackle issues in such cold region. Electricity supply not great so they should be be prepared for that. Food quality needs lots of improvement.

This is a very average place, food is very average. They dont provide basics and you have to ask for towels, water bottles which is again chargeable. Floor is chipping for the room we stayed in, geyser is not reliable. They served us dal roti for breakfast. Tv not workin. In short, you can find much better options.
