I stayed at Sha Ri Loum for 2 nights in May 2026 and my experience was nothing short of awesome!! Right from the location, service, cleanliness and hospitality, everything was top notch. The homestay is a very cosy and super clean one with delicious and homely meals served with a lot of love. Merrylyne was always available to cater to all our needs with a smile. The property is very well maintained and makes you feel right at home! This was our best stay in all of Meghalaya….I recommend this place for anyone travelling to Shillong as it is easy to see Shillong’s sights and attractions keeping this homestay as your base. Totally worth every penny!!!😍😍

Very good ambience. Well equipped. Spacious rooms. Location is a bit away from the city and traveling to city is a challenge thanks to the traffic. Service is very very bad. Staff is exceptionally indifferent, rude, always grumpy and don't care about customers. Rigid in every aspect. Stay if you don't plan on leaving early or having food there.

Recently we had visited Assam and meghalaya. In shillong we had stayed two nights in sha ri loum.. It was well maintained,neat and cleaned.. Service was really good.. Owner farida mam is very good.. She gave me number of jayden having his own car knows meghalaya every nook and corner. That helped me a lot..He picked us from guwahati airport and drive us to kaziranga.. Jayden is very friendly and helped us showing all the places.. As soon as we entered meghalaya jayden not only did his driving he planned everything every places to make sure that we dont miss anything.. His car is well maintained and jayden is really incredible too friendly .. His driving skills topnotch.. While coming back from dawki the road was full of mist.. Inspite of that he drove car like pro..Whenever we go east India from now on jayden is like our family member..after seeing his hospitality and driving we have decided to go arunachal trip with him.. Thanks farida mam for recommending this guy.. And sha ri loum is best place to stay in shillong..🙏

One of the best experiences living in a Homestay. The hosts are extremely helpful and kind. They treat their Homestay like a home so it’s very clean and welcoming. The support staff are very efficient and accommodating. We have travelled quite a fair bit in our lives and the thing that we found unique about Sha Ri Loum are the fantastic people that own and run it. Well done.
