I had a wonderful stay at Shanti Nest in Ladakh. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The food was delicious, with a good variety of options. What stood out the most was the hospitality—the staff was extremely friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Ladakh.
Peaceful Stay with Amazing Views at Santi Nest hotel Stayed at Santi Nest for 3 days during my Leh trip and it was one of the best decisions. The hotel is tucked away from the main market noise but still just 10 min from leh market *Room*: Clean, spacious, and cozy. worked perfectly which is a big plus in Leh. Got a mountain view from my balcony — woke up to snow peaks every morning. *Staff*: Super helpful and polite. Helped me arrange taxi for Pangong and gave genuine local tips. Check-in was smooth. *Food*: Home-cooked style meals. Chicken curry and sweets dishes were excellent. Breakfast was simple but filling. *Location*: Quiet area called "Santi", hence the name. Perfect if you want peace after a tiring day of sightseeing.
Extremely disappointing stay at The Shanti Nest Boutique Hotel, Leh. After traveling across many parts of India, I can confidently say this was one of the worst hotel experiences I've had. The service was terrible, and the staff showed very little concern for guests. We checked in around 9 PM after a long journey and ordered dinner, only to be told that the restaurant had already been closed. No one informed us in advance, and there was no effort to provide any alternative arrangement. The hotel also advertises parking, but there was no proper or secure parking available. Several things promised before booking turned out to be misleading. Poor service, poor management, and false commitments. The hotel failed to meet even basic hospitality expectations. I would not recommend this property to anyone visiting Leh.
The room was clean and well kept. The service was super good! The kitchen crew were those outstanding in supporting our group by customising food that accommodated altitude issues etc.
Visited this hotel, on 11-12th April 2026 which was arranged by our tour operator for my wife & me. Was greeted by Mr. Gloilson who gralended us with a scarf & we were also served a welcome drink. Our baggage was taken to our room which was very spacious brightly lit, neat & clean, double bed. The bathroom was also vey neat & tidy with accessories provided. Had issues with the hot water from the taps which was attended at once by Mr. Gloilson himself. The room has a central heating system which has fixed timing set by the management, if you are coming from a hot city like me (Navi Mumbai), you will have to retain some of your layered clothing Temp outside was -3C to -11C as per Google. Hot water bottles were provided for us,at our request, to make our sleep plesant. The internet WIFI was about 10-15 Mbs OOKLA Dinner & Breakfast that were complimentary for us was tasty - the dining hall was also very large. No complimentary coffee tea milk sugar in the rooms. Must mention here of our staff friends Mr Deepak & Subodh who catered to dining needs.
