Stayed here in June. Had an exceptional experience. It was super clean, service by Muneer bhai and Ahmad chacha was excellent. Had some reservations about staying on lake, but spending a night year was excellent. Early morning lakeside was amazing. Pros - 1. In an open area, not crowded like some other houseboats 2. Space to sit outside. Beautiful living area if you're traveling with extended family 3. Accomodating staff and kind people 4. Absolutely clean, cool enough in summers Cons- 1. Houseboats are wooden structures, so they are not completely noise insulated, you will be hearing some noise from outside in the rooms 2. Food can be better, though it was manageable for a day.

We booked two rooms for six people at a cost of Rs. 10,500, expecting a comfortable and enjoyable stay. However, the overall experience was disappointing. The rooms are quite good , neat and clean . The dinner options were extremely limited, with only rice, dal, aloo gobhi, and chicken being served. To make matters worse, the chicken was undercooked. Another major inconvenience was the location accessibility. Once you arrive at the hotel, you cannot easily go out or return without hiring a Shikara (boat) each time, which costs Rs. 300 one way. This made us feel restricted and added unexpected expenses to the stay. Considering the price we paid, we expected much better service and facilities. Even the TV in the room was outdated and not in good condition. Overall, the stay did not offer good value for money, and the experience was far below expectations.

Wonderful experience! Mr Shaukat Ali (Caretaker) - Very homely and humble person. Made us feel like home. Food - Very tasty and authentic Kashmiri wazwan! Breakfast was very tasty too. Rooms - Very Cozy and comfortable. Thanks Shabeer Uncle for arranging our trip!
