We recently stayed at Course Of Life Alleppey and it was easily one of the best parts of our Kerala trip. The property is spotless, peaceful, and has such a warm homely vibe. Our room was clean, comfortable, and we loved the view — waking up to greenery and the calm surroundings made the mornings so relaxing. The food was amazing too. Everything was fresh, tasty, and felt like home-cooked meals. They were happy to accommodate what we wanted and the service was quick. But the highlight of Alleppey is the backwaters, and the helpful staff made it so easy for us. They arranged our houseboat/boat ride, gave us tips on the best time to go, and made sure everything was smooth. We also got great recommendations for local restaurants and places to visit. What stood out the most though was the kind staff. From check-in to check-out they treated us like family. Nothing was too much trouble and they made sure we had everything we needed. If you want a clean stay, good food, and genuine hospitality in Alleppey, I 100% recommend Course Of Life. We’ll definitely be back!

Terrible Experience – Not Recommended for Families Our family (including a senior citizen and a 12-year-old child) had a highly disappointing experience at Course of Life, Alleppey. Despite informing the owner in advance about our arrival time, we were met with an aggressive and unwelcoming attitude from the caretaker during check-in. Although we promptly provided identification documents, we were subjected to unnecessary accusations, unreasonable demands, and were not even allowed to view the room before being asked to pay the remaining balance. When we raised concerns about the caretaker's behavior, the owner chose to defend him rather than resolve the issue professionally. The overall conduct of both the caretaker and owner was hostile, making us feel unwelcome throughout our stay. Eventually, we had to leave the property and find alternate accommodation in heavy rain while traveling with a senior citizen and a child. Based on our experience, the property falls far short of basic hospitality standards. Families seeking a peaceful and respectful stay may wish to consider other options. At no point did I refuse to provide identification because I considered anyone "beneath" me. We provided the required documents and simply expected to be treated with basic courtesy and professionalism. The facts remain unchanged: our family, including a senior citizen and a child, experienced behavior that we found hostile and unwelcoming. As a result, we chose to leave and arrange alternative accommodation in difficult weather conditions. That experience is the sole basis of my review. The seriousness of our concerns is evident from the fact that we have reported the matter to the relevant authorities. We would not have taken that step had we believed our concerns were fabricated or baseless. I also find it disappointing that, instead of addressing the issues raised, your response relies on personal remarks about mirrors, karma, classism, and character judgments. Such comments only reinforce the impression we formed during our interaction. Everyone is entitled to their version of events, and readers can draw their own conclusions. I had a wonderful stay at Course of Life Hostel near Punnamada Lake in Alappuzha. The atmosphere was peaceful, relaxing, and perfect for enjoying the beauty of the lakeside. The hostel was clean, comfortable, and had a very friendly vibe. The staff were welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. One of the best parts was the location — close to the lake with beautiful surroundings and a calm environment. I met great people and truly enjoyed the experience. Highly recommended for travelers looking for a cozy and memorable stay in Alleppey!

Had a really pleasant stay here. The property is beautiful with an antique charm, and there are multiple chill-out spots where you can relax and unwind. The room was spacious, very clean, and even had a fridge, which was quite convenient. A special mention to the host, Rahul, who was extremely accommodating. They even called in advance to confirm my arrival time and thoughtfully kept the AC on before I checked in—the room smelled fresh and welcoming. The staff was also very considerate. I had ordered food online, and before they closed for the night, they checked if I needed plates and provided them. Overall, it’s a nice property with warm hospitality, attentive staff, and a very comfortable vibe. Highly recommended!
