I went for solo camping I took ticket and asked the toll guy about camping they said it's fine ...but later at 8 after my camping was done some batch came local people they said they organise the area they and said they want money like 500 I asked why I came with my own gear and setup and at this late hours where can I go I asked everything was closed at that time then one guy said pay 1000rs or we will go to panchayat I said I will go to police they said we are local people be aware he was a small guy like 18 years may be studying...after 1hour of discussion one big guy came and said pay 400rs and we will let you stay then they went away it's like local mafia I don't know but tourist can camp anywhere in the camping site right it's legal ...they are treating tourist very bad local people are worst .... Coming to the location every was like heaven....be aware no food and water will be available if you are doing camping make sure you bring along everything at once ... Nyt camping was very thrilling with river breeze and sounds water was sprinkling in the night....some local fishermen are fishing at the nyt 2pm they make no harm ...

This is the only stay to get closer and feel the enormous beauty of Chitrokote waterfalls from other side of Indravati River. Unlike its supreme position,staying there in a tent is difficult because of lack of maintenance. Frowzy rags and pillows causing suffocation made the tents not that comfortable. Foods provided are local and authentic which is not bad also, no safety issue at night. But in the morning water supply is delayed☹️ Overall, suggested for only nature enthusiasts as there is no option to stay beside Chitrokote.

Attended the New year Eve camping event. Organised by passionate people. Location is Fantastic and tents were good. Regarding dinner and breakfast, we were expecting more ethnic food seeing their past social media posts but it was just normal, probably because of the number of people. Hoping to attend smaller camps by UnexploredBastar which will have more interactions. We really did not expect 100+ people, hopefully they would overcome some of the shortfalls of this event.

Read other reviews before visiting about the view and starry night,all were true. You can hear the waterfall sound throughout the night. The food was fair enough and everything is managed by the locals, so you can know about their culture. These were the pros. But, the view is quite far and obstructed by the building's pillars. They use quality tents and place bonfire, but all these are done on the concrete ground and in the building. So you really don't get a "being in the camp" feeling. They lack in customer care.When we visited, me and my brother were the only one in that camp. So, they didn't care for arranging a generator, which they do if large no. of people come. And there was no water in washrooms too when we arrived. They filled the tank after we came. Light was only provided by some torchlights. There are no street lights or whatsoever in the surrounding area. Although we faced these difficulties, they were charging the same. They didn't pass on the benefit of not using the generator costs to the customer. After having argument with the camp official, she only reduced 10%. Low rating because the place is not worth the price. TIP: If you still decide to visit this camp, ask for no. of bookings for that day in advance. This camp is in Tirath village. Instead go for camps in Chitrakoot. The views are same at both banks in monsoon season. In winter season, this side of bank gives better views.
