I visited with every intention of booking a room, but the way the enquiry was handled made me reconsider. There was very little warmth or willingness to assist, and the interaction felt rushed and inflexible. Customer service plays a huge role in building trust, and this experience didn’t inspire confidence.

I visited the hotel to enquire about room bookings, expecting a warm and professional interaction. Unfortunately, the front desk staff was very rigid and seemed unwilling to even have a proper conversation. There was no effort to explain the options or make me feel welcome. Hospitality begins at the reception, and this experience was disappointing.

Hotel Arulmuthu, Madurai, was not worth the price we paid. The only positives were the convenient location near the highway and the availability of parking. The rooms were quite small, and basic amenities were disappointing. The AC was not working properly, and the water heater was also not functioning. There is no food facility available at the hotel, which is inconvenient for travelers. The staff's attitude was not welcoming and felt unprofessional. The hotel is also around 3–4 km from the Meenakshi Temple, and auto-rickshaw fares can cost around ₹200 for a trip. Overall, considering the room quality, lack of amenities, and service experience, the hotel is overpriced and does not offer good value for money.

Nice stay. Food: Not available within the hotel, however nearby Sabareesh restaurant, which was very good (30 seconds walk). Facilities: Heater is available round the clock. One big bed and one L shaped Sofa - in the AC Room. Rooms are decent and bedspreads are good. Parking was spacious - can park around 6-8 cars. (Back side of hotel) Good open space garden in the back. Staircase to first floor are very steep - so if you plan with senior citizens ask for ground floor rooms. No play area for children. Location: Entrance on main road is inconspicuous - so move slow and you will notice it.
