We had a very pleasant stay at Oven Blue Resort in Havelock, Andaman. The property is conveniently located with easy access to key areas, which made getting around quite effortless. The rooms are spacious, well-maintained, and comfortable, providing a relaxing environment after a day of exploring. The food served was good, with a decent variety and satisfying taste. What truly stood out during our stay was the staff — extremely courteous, attentive, and always willing to help, which added a lot of warmth to the overall experience. One area for improvement would be the power situation, as there were occasional fluctuations. An automatic DG (diesel generator) backup system would greatly enhance guest comfort and ensure a seamless stay. Overall, a comfortable and enjoyable place to stay, with great hospitality and good value.

The Ocean Blue Resort is a highly overpriced resort compared to the Amenities that are being offered and overall quality of service. Location: Near the beach but not on the beach side. So there is neither any direct access nor is there any view from the room. But it is fairly near to the beach so you can walk. Rooms: Rooms are OK if you take the super deluxe. The ground floor cotrage rooms are poor and looks old. However, even in the Super Deluxe room, the Bathroom is pathetic and dirty. Moreover, the Resort has serious power problems as the DG keeps tripping and the lights and ACs keep on fluctuating whole day and night. Also, the ground floor rooms are prone to Mosquito and there is serious lack of housekeeping & other initiatives like spraying etc to control mosquito. So, if you take an upper floor room (only family room or super deluxe type are available on higher floors) to avoid mosquitoes, then you will die for network and the Wifi doesn’t work there at all. (You won’t even see the wifi when you search for it). So you will be left hanging without mobile tower and internet connectivity unless you have Airtel Post Paid. Room Amenities: The room lacks amenities and they don’t even provide basic things like soap, shampoo etc. There are tea bags n all in the room but there is no kettle 😄, don’t know what to do with those teabags without a kettle. Service: The service is overall poor and the housekeeping guys are lazy. They don’t do housekeeping by default so if you forget to tell them to housekeep your room, you will find your room dirty in the evening. Food: The Resort doesn’t have its own restaurant and uses the Blue Bird Resort’s restaurant instead. The foods are seriously overpriced. One cup of tea costs 80 bucks and 1 masala omelette is 150 rupees. Overall, this is a poor resort with very limited positives and there are much better options available in lower tariff bracket in the near location.

The rooms, food, and location are good. However, the fans need dusting, and the room curtains are put on the wrong side of the windows, so they don’t properly cover them. Otherwise, everything is good.

My family and me had an excellent experience here. The manager was very hospitable and helpful. We had forgotten a pair of prescription glasses and travelled onwards to Port Blair. He was kind enough to courier the same to our home address at no cost, which was an excellent gesture. The rooms were very spacious and hence we did not need two rooms and could easily manage two adults and two children in one large family room, thus saving costs. Good restaurants in the premises and also nearby. Strongly recommend your holiday stay here.
