Our stay at Windermere Hotel, Shillong (31 Mar-2 Apr 2026) was truly exceptional and exceeded all expectations.. indeed, it would be unjust not to mention and appreciate this wonderful hotel. As Veena World guests, we enjoyed three memorable nights, and I’m sure every co-traveler valued the experience. The charming décor, peaceful ambiance, and stunning hillside views made it a perfect retreat. Spacious rooms, excellent amenities, and warm, polite staff added greatly to our comfort. The food was delicious, with a satisfying breakfast and dinner buffet. Overall, a fabulous and memorable stay. Thanks to Veena World for choosing such a beautiful hotel. 😊

My stay at Windermere Hotel, Shillong was truly an excellent experience and easily deserves a 5/5 rating. The rooms were spacious and thoughtfully designed, with attached balconies that added a nice touch to the overall stay. The bathrooms were clean, and the availability of 24×7 hot water was a major plus, especially considering Shillong’s chilly weather. Basic amenities like body lotion, shampoo, and shower gel were all provided, making the stay very convenient. They also provided Iron and ironing board, hair dryer, flipflops. The property also offers a large banquet hall for functions. They also had a dedicated lounging area with comfortable seating arrangements. The space was warm, cozy, and perfect for unwinding after a long day. Additionally, the gaming room equipped with foosball, chess and other board games added a fun recreational element. Food was another highlight. The breakfast spread was extensive, covering both continental and Indian options. It included breads, sprouts, fruits, fresh juices, idli, poha and live counters serving dishes like dosa, along with tea and coffee. The buffet at the time of dinner was equally satisfying, with a good variety including salads, paneer tikka starters, noodles, manchurian, paneer sabji, dal-rice, fried fish, and chicken curry. Desserts like fruit custard and rasgulla provided a sweet finish. Room service was prompt and efficient, adding to the overall smooth experience. Overall, Windermere Hotel offers a comfortable stay with great amenities, good food, and a cozy ambiance, making it a solid choice for anyone visiting Shillong.

Windermere Hotel is located just outside Shillong. The Hotel has a lot of space around. The rooms are very good with a great shower & bathroom. The food was good too inspite of the gas problems.

Small yet meaningful gestures — such as the generous supply of complimentary water bottles — added to the sense of care and hospitality. The service was outstanding. The staff were courteous, gracious, and pleasant in every interaction. Their attention to detail and willingness to assist made our stay even more enjoyable. The food was equally impressive — delicious, well-prepared, and served with care. Above all, what stood out was the genuine hospitality. The property is well-organized, elegant, and maintained to a very high standard. We honestly did not expect this level of refinement and service in Shillong, and we were truly impressed. Without hesitation, we highly recommend Windermere Hotel to anyone visiting Shillong. It offers comfort, professionalism, and hospitality at its finest.
