I spent about a week at Hongthor and I can highly recommend this place to anybody travelling to Kaziranga. The staff, especially Shrimonto and Siddhi went above and beyond to make our stay a pleasant experience. The general manager as well made sure we had a smooth experience. Staying at Hongthor will give you an opportunity to interact with the Karbi community and witness the riches of Kaziranga from a quiet, comfortable, hygienic location. The restaurant serves tasty food, healthy food -i would especially recommend the Patori. We saw Hornbills and capped langur from the comfort of our balconies.

The resort is located near tea estate. The rooms are spacious, clean and well maintained. The staff members are extremely courteous and always helpful. Main highlight was the food. Super tasty breakfast and dinner menus. The chefs deserve special thanks. Only one complaint, please provide dormitory to drivers. Its extremely cold outside to spend nights in the car.

The resort offers a peaceful atmosphere, lush greenery, and a true jungle experience. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and well maintained. The staff were courteous, helpful, and made the stay pleasant throughout. The highlight was definitely the proximity to the national park and the chance to experience wildlife and serene surroundings. Early morning and evening views were especially beautiful. A special mention to Mr. Pulok Barahua, General Manager, whose courteous nature, warmth, and gentlemanly hospitality truly made our visit special. His attention to guests and personal care reflect the true spirit of Assamese hospitality. The resort is beautifully maintained, with lush gardens right in the heart of Kaziranga, creating a peaceful and refreshing atmosphere. The food was good, though a few more local cuisine options would make the experience even better. The food was absolutely wonderful — delicious local delicacies, excellent variety, and beautifully prepared dishes. A special delight was the traditional Banana Flower side dish, and Baby Potato and peanuts absolutely authentic and delightful! The stay was truly outstanding and unforgettable. The staff were courteous, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. An excellent retreat indeed — perfect for families, friends, and nature lovers visiting Kaziranga. Highly recommended! Experience at Hongthorn resort was excellent. The resort is very well maintained and the hygiene standards throughout were impressive. The highlight of my stay was undoubtedly the food – the veg/ Non veg were superb and truly delicious. The overall hospitality provided by the staff was also great, making us feel very homely and comfortable. Special thank you to the GM sir Mr. Polok Barua and his staff for providing prompt assistance to visit nearby hospital at ODD hours, truly commendable. Everything was superb — staff 5/5, service 5/5, property 5/5, and cleanliness 5/5. We especially loved the food and the warm hospitality. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Assam.
