Incredible hospitality and invaluable local tips! My stay here was absolutely wonderful. The owner and his two sons are incredibly helpful and treat you like family. They can arrange cars for your sightseeing and even book boat rides at a very budget-friendly price. Definitely ask them for advice on where to go and when—they know the shortest routes and the best "queueless" timings to visit the temples. A crucial tip for future guests: The guest house is right next to the Varahi Amma Temple. Because the temple is only open from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM, a massive crowd forms for puja, and the line actually starts right at the guest house gate. It can be a real hassle if you try to head out during those two hours. I highly recommend planning your morning and breakfast for after 10:00 AM—by then, the crowd completely clears out and the lane is beautifully calm and empty. Between the fantastic hosts and the prime location, this is the perfect base for Kashi. Will definitely stay again!

This place is very clean very central but also remarkably very quiet at night. The hosts were excellent and helped us with many things on our trip. Beautiful views from our ghat And two minutes walk along the river to the main Ganga Arti. I will definitely stay here again

We had a wonderful stay here during our trip to Varanasi. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with AC, hot water, and good WiFi, which made our stay very convenient. One of the biggest advantages of this place is the location. It is just a few steps from Dashashwamedh Ghat, and the sacred Kashi Vishwanath Temple is only about a 10-minute walk away. Most temples and important spots are very close by, which makes exploring the city extremely easy. Right next to the stay, there is also a very good place to eat — Dolphin Restaurant — which was very convenient for us. What truly makes this place special is the hospitality. Sharma ji and his sons are incredibly kind, humble, and down-to-earth people. They genuinely care about their guests and are always ready to help. Sharma ji patiently guides you on where to go, what to see, and the best times to visit, which was extremely helpful for us. The place also feels very safe, even for solo female travellers. The only small drawback is that the property is located in one of the narrow lanes of Varanasi, so finding the way the first time can be a bit confusing and no rickshaws can enter here, but Sharma ji will help you reach the property without any concern. Overall, this is a comfortable, safe, and well-located stay, with the added bonus of having such kind and helpful hosts. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Varanasi.

Excellent stay near Kashi Vishwanath I had a very pleasant stay at Someshwar Residency, Kashi. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-maintained, with all basic amenities available. The staff was polite, cooperative, and always ready to help, which made the stay comfortable. The location is a big plus—close to Kashi Vishwanath Temple and other important ghats, making it very convenient for pilgrims and tourists. The atmosphere was peaceful and safe, perfect for families as well. Overall, it offers great value for money with good service and hygiene. I would definitely recommend Someshwar Residency to anyone visiting Kashi and would love to stay here again.
