Pathetic Service. Hotel Management donβt know how to talk to customers. First Day i ordered 1 Savoury, 2 Rotis, 1 Dal and 1 Rice and they gave me 2 Savoury and 2 Rotis. Then, when i came to restaurant to order food no one will come to take the order and you have to call the waiter to give order. Then during dinner i ordered pasta and after half n hour i called the waiter to ask for the order, he replied you have to wait as we have many orders and suddenly, he came and said we donβt have pasta.. Think twice before staying in this hotel.
Stayed at the Deluxe Executive Suite which has a king sized bed but surprising no king size mattress. They put two mattress together to look like 1 king size mattress and it was uncomfortable. The whole room is so small and congested theres barely any room to move about which is not worth 7k per night. The whole wall of the room is glass but not tinted. So if you want light during the day you have to use the lights and not open the curtains. If you open the curtains everybody on the streets can see you clear as day.
My stay got extended and I had to stay one night extra and at the last moment i got this hotel booked through an online engine : I stayed in the 6th Floor Room 603 , I must say Hotels in Aizawl at 6th Floors are special and spacious (found good spacious rooms in two of the famous hotels in Aizawl , all in 6th floor): Room was very spacious and I must say the room is designed by special taste : Enjoyed the stay , the view the big windows : This hotel is beside a petrol pump and the slopes surrounding the hotel are crazy : Location wise - well not the best as i fel its a lil far from the hustle bustle : Liked the hotel though : The staffs are well mannered as all the people of aizawl : Good place to stay and work all day in "work from home" mode: Internet is fast , food is good ": This is not a paid review - I just got a room upgrade π
Overpriced with awful service and design. The Bad: Cramped rooms with a massive pillar blocking space; tiny, awkward bathroom; no hot water (staff offered a bucket instead of fixing it); terrible Wi-Fi; rigid management forcing mid-stay billing; illegally overcharging for water. The Good: Central location and a decent (but limited) breakfast. For a premium hotel, the lack of basic amenities and unhelpful staff make this a very poor value.
I recently stayed at the Emerald and would like to share my feedback. On a positive note, the hospitality from the front-of-house staff was excellent; they were welcoming and attentive throughout my stay. However, there are a few areas regarding professionalism that need urgent attention. First, the housekeeping staff were frequently heard chatting very loudly in the hallways. This was quite disruptive, and I would suggest they maintain a much lower volume to respect the guest experience. Additionally, I noticed groups of staff members standing in circles on various floors, talking amongst themselves in guest areas. This comes across as unprofessional and gives the impression that the staff is idle rather than focused on service. Improving these behavioural standards would greatly enhance the overall atmosphere of the hotel. On the dining side, the food was delicious and full of flavor. However, I noticed that the thermal flasks and jars provided were not cleaned thoroughly on the inside. Please ensure these items are properly scrubbed and sanitized to maintain better hygiene standards.
