This place has well maintained rooms and good quality service. Food served as part of breakfast is also good. They have prefixed three menu optiona for breakfast and we need to pre-order it and these are not unlimited. Food is good. Person at reception also understands english and quite conversant. Staff are nice and friendly.

I had booked both an Executive Room and a King Suite at Palais De Pondicherry, but unfortunately, the stay was filled with problems from start to finish. The Executive Room had a non-functional AC, making it very uncomfortable. To make matters worse, the hand faucet in the washroom was faulty. We discovered water had leaked from the bathroom into the room only after returning from sightseeing, when housekeeping had cleaned the room during our absence. It's surprising that such an obvious maintenance issue went unnoticed and unresolved. The King Suite had its own set of problems. The AC was dripping water continuously. A technician came, inspected it, and assured us that the issue had been fixed, but the leakage continued. Housekeeping was also disappointing. Although the regular bedsheets were changed, the bedsheet for the sofa-cum-bed was never replaced despite repeated reminders, which was unacceptable from a hygiene perspective. The biggest disappointment was the frequent power outages at night. The hotel has no power backup, so guests are left without electricity or air conditioning in the sweltering Pondicherry heat. This is a basic facility that any hotel should provide, and its absence made the stay extremely uncomfortable. The food experience was equally underwhelming. The variety was very limited, and there was no breakfast buffet. Breakfast is served only on a pre-order basis. Surprisingly, if you order an Indian breakfast, it is brought in from outside and simply served by the hotel, while only English and French breakfast items are prepared in-house. This was quite disappointing and not what one expects from a hotel of this category. The only positives were that the rooms were adequately sized and the food, while limited in variety, tasted reasonably okay. Overall, poor maintenance, inadequate housekeeping, lack of power backup, and an unimpressive dining experience overshadowed the few positives. I cannot recommend Palais De Pondicherry based on my experience. The management needs to invest seriously in maintenance, housekeeping, and guest services before charging premium rates for such an experience.

Good location, Supportive staffs, Decent rooms. Overall worth the price. Stayed 2 days in Room 304. Room is fine with enough space. Breakfast options we can choose from south Indian (From Surguru) and English Veg and English non veg options. Though repetitive, it was good. Rooms with balcony maybe better. But no complaints. Front desk staffs were very responsive. Didn't have much interactions with room service. Restaurant staffs also responsive. Recommended.

Roof top dining at Atelier with a view of the sea. Good mix of cuisine. Price slightly on the higher side but the portions are good. Tge fish on a green pea sauce was different in a good way! Food tastes good. Slightly laid back service but the waiters seem knowledgeable and cordial. Worth visiting.
